I believe that brands are like people: no two are alike, and the best ones are authentic, consistent, and thoughtful. I work with clients to intimately understand their brand and what makes it unique, so that we can distill that value down and communicate it in the most effective, honest, and visually compelling way possible. We design your brand to resonate with people who care about your vision as much as you do, so that you can make the impact you’ve been dreaming about.

If you have a vision that you really believe in, whether it involves defining your company’s identity from the ground up or developing an impactful solution that reflects your already-established brand, let’s figure out how to bring it to life.

Stuff I do

  • If you’re launching a new business but have no idea where to start in getting it out into the world, this is where I can help you make some magic. I’ll get to know your brand intimately, help you pin down exactly what you’re about, and then translate that into a cohesive and comprehensive visual ecosystem that helps convey your brand’s personality and vision to your ideal audience. We’ll work together to build out a logo system, color palette, typography, and whatever else makes sense for your company (illustrations, photography style, patterns, templates, you name it!) that can be applied across every brand touchpoint— from social media to web to print to interior design. And if you need a website, packaging, collateral, or swag to match, I can help you make all that happen too!

  • If you feel like the image you’re putting out into the world no longer reflects who you are and what you’re about as a company, it’s probably time for a rebrand. I’ll help you pin down how things have changed and where you want to be, and work with you to develop a new look and feel that reflects that.

Wherever you’re at in your strategic development, I’ll help you figure out exactly where you want to go and how you’re going to get there.

FAQs

  • Before working with a new client, I always start with an intro call to make sure I’m a good fit for your project and vice versa. From there, I’ll usually have you fill out a questionnaire about your brand and project, and we’ll schedule a discovery call to talk through your answers together. Once I’ve got a good handle on what your vision and goals are, I’ll put together a project proposal that clearly lays out all the details (scope, deliverables, timeline, fees, etc), so that everyone is on the same page before we get started.

Because I work with a variety of clients on a variety of projects, the process varies from here, but it always involves consistent communication to make sure we’re staying on track. It’s important to me that my clients know exactly what’s going on and feel a sense of ownership over their project, so I almost always build a series of revisions into the process to ensure we have distinct milestones where we can touch base and I can get feedback on the direction.

  • Because each brand is unique and at a different stage in its development, I price projects on a case-by-base basis after chatting with you about where you’re at, and what your specific needs and constraints are. Shoot me an email with some details about your brand and your project, and I will be happy to provide you with a ballpark estimate.

  • Short answer: no. This is because a logo created in a vacuum is not a good logo.

Long answer: If you take your brand seriously, you need more than “just a logo.” The reason is this: a single logo is only the tip of the tip of *the tip* of your brand iceberg. It’s part of a larger logo system that allows your brand to translate effectively at multiple scales and touchpoints. That logo system is part of your brand’s larger visual identity-- the ecosystem of colors, typography, patterns, imagery, etc, that represent your brand and work together to communicate your personality, values, mission, and voice to your audience. Those elements are designed based on a brand strategy, which helps you map out where you want to be as a company and how you’re going to get there.

Without some solid brand strategy as a foundation, we don’t have any indicators to guide us on how to communicate with your audience, and without those indicators, we have no way to decide what your brand should look and feel like, let alone what the logo should be.

Already have a solid strategy, plus maybe some colors, typography, and photography to go along with it? We can develop a versatile logo system that will complete your look and reinforce brand recall.

Got nothing but a great idea for a business? Let’s work together to bring your brand to life from the ground up.
